The April 30th tax deadline is quickly approaching.

During the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 and 2021, the federal government gave taxpayers extra time to file annual returns, and even to pay balances owing. Not this year.

April 30 is the official deadline to file your taxes and pay any amounts owing.

Since that date happens to be a Saturday, you do have a bit of wiggle room until midnight on Monday, May 2. That's when late filing fees kick in.
